Spaces of Disappearance is the brainchild of Chicago singer/songwriter Elaine Davis. She began writing songs, programming and recording at the end of 2012. In 2013, she played her first live show in March of that year. After many successful shows and two brief tours, Spaces of Disappearance released their debut EP, Passionate Electronics in 2015. Just over a year later, Spaces of Disappearance is back with a second EP, There Is No Loss. Look for a digital and CD release on Walk-In in September 2016.

Spaces of Disappearance’s sound is dance-punk influenced synth pop with a dark edge, fun but disconcerting at the same time. Elaine’s lush vocals weave into a tapestry of unique beats and trippy synth lines or “electronics doused with spacey wonderment” (Loud Loop Press). Think LCD Soundsystem meets Portishead with an appropriate amount of Grimes.
