Until recently, Jordon Salveson, called Chicago home but has now returned to his native Nashville. Infected by a deep love of music at a young age, he cultivated a wide range of talents from multi-instrumentalist, to songwriter, to producer and engineer. In recent years, Salveson has become a sought after drummer for several Chicago bands, including Walk-In Records label-mates Sister Crystals. When it comes to his solo work, Salveson wants to make music that is calming, reflective, and interesting to the listener. His music occupies a unique space that feels the influence of Jeff Buckley, The Tallest Man on Earth, Sondre Lerche, Andrew Bird, and Sufjan Stevens, but his songs take a slightly more experimental direction, and in doing so find a sound all their own. Working as a multi-instrumentalist allows Salveson to add depth and dimension to his music through the inclusion of piano-centric songs and instrumental pieces. His ability to master different forms as well as his incredible lyrical talents allows Jordon Salveson’s music to rise above typical singer-songwriter fare and make his songs a truly special gift in the often overloaded world of indie music.

Currently his work is primarily a one-man show; however, Salveson is forming a band to play this material live and record new songs. A tour is currently in the works and we’ll have more details as they are finalized.
